The Parent's Comprehensive Guide to Bris Milah

Welcome to The Parent's Comprehensive Guide to Bris Milah. My name is Rabbi Shlomo Golish, and I have over a decade of experience as a Mohel.

Over the years I have interacted with many parents, and I have seen that frequently, parents are lost to many aspects of Bris Milah, and they are left confused and alone at a very vulnerable time.

Some parents are worried about what is going to happen with their newborn baby, some are nervous that they aren't prepared for the big day, and some just don't know which hall to book or which caterer to choose.

My objective is to fully explain any and all issues that a new parent may be wondering about Bris Milah, prepare you for the special day, and hopefully alleviate some of the worrying and stress that comes along with this joyous and busy time. From understanding the procedure to aftercare to booking a hall and a caterer, you will find all the answers to your questions here.

Baby Bris

I have created several sections to simplify the navigation of this site:

1) Choosing a Mohel, where I explain what to look for and expect from a Mohel,

2) What is a Bris?, where I explain the medical and surgical aspects of a Bris,

3) What do I need to know?, where you can learn step by step how to best prepare yourself for your son's Bris, and

4) Halls, Caterers and Gemachim, where you can find all of the popular options including contact information and pricing.

You can read more about me here, and if you have any questions, you can find my contact information here.
